This attractive hand colored print shows a striking scene of Cumberland Gap, a historic point of entry in the Appalachian Mountains through which early colonial settlers moved west. The image was drawn by Henry Fenn, engraved by Samuel Valentine Hunt, and published in William Cullen Bryant’s Picturesque America.
