This tactical topographic map of central Georgia was prepared by the Defense Mapping Agency Topographic Center in Washington, D.C. and published around 1971 by Hubbard, Inc. of Chippewa Falls, WI. Issued at a scale of 1:250,000, the plastic plan offers a detailed overview of the transportation network, geographic features, and settlement patterns around Atlanta, Georgia. A legend on the right side identifies the various symbols used to denote landmarks, airfields, infrastructure, and more.
Toponyms label cities and towns according to their respective population sizes. Distances between points (red stars) are noted and elevation data is occasionally supplied, especially in the mountainous region around the Talladega National Forest. Other notable features captured within the borders include Stone Mountain Memorial Park, the Atlanta International Raceway, Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield, and Fort McClellan
