Description
Named after the original donor of (some) of the land on which it sits, Arnold Arboretum comprises nearly 300 acres near Boston, Massachusetts, and is the oldest operating arboretum in the United States. It’s affiliated with Harvard University and contains nearly 15,000 specimens of living plants.
This map was published and distributed at the park, likely in the mid-1920s based on the advertisements for “America’s Greatest Garden” by Ernest Wilson on the verso. A simple plan shows the pathways and major plant species visible throughout the park.
