Description

Although the Lake of the Ozarks is the best known in the region, the southwestern corner of Missouri (as well as parts of Arkansas, Kansas and Oklahoma) is home to dozens of large lakes. But the region is not named for the body of water, but rather the large plateau on which it sits. The map shows the area of the White River Lakes, and individually labels campsites, boat docks, fishing spots. Airports or landing strips are also identified, but not distinguished between each other. It was issued to be folded and mailed as a souvenir, and has text on the verso outlining the areas available recreation and lodging facilities.
