Description

This top down look of the campus of the University of Michigan was drawn by Franklin Reck in 1949. It shows the campus divided into four quadrants, each representing a different season in Ann Arbor. Between the attractive illustrations, buildings and roads are individually labeled.

At the bottom of the page, a simplified view of the Big House can be seen surrounded by cheering fans. They had good reason to celebrate – the year prior to publication, the Wolverine football team finished #1 in the country with an undefeated season. Published in first volume of the Lincoln-Mercury times in August of 1949.
