Description
This attractive hand colored print shows a striking scene of the Upper Yellowstone Falls, one of a pair of major waterfalls on the Yellowstone River in the National Park of the same name. The image was drawn by Thomas Moran, engraved by Samuel Valentine Hunt, and published in William Cullen Bryant’s Picturesque America in 1873 – just one year after Yellowstone National Park was first established.
