The Two Grandest Trips in the Pike’s Peak Region

Take in the ‘Grandest Views in America’ atop Pike’s Peak in Colorado.

This lovely view was published as the centerfold in a promotional brochure in 1924 by the Manitou and Pike’s Peak Railway, alternatively known as the Cog Wheel Route. The line can be seen ascending the peak near the center of the image. Also included in the pamphlet are a diagram of Pike’s Peak, photographs, descriptive text, and a similar view of the Crystal Park AutoRoute.
