Description

This charming map of Cape Ann, Massachusetts was created by Cottage Service Inc. in 1930 and published by the Gloucester Chamber of Commerce as a souvenir and promotional item. It highlights in bright red the route of the Cape Ann Trail, which, despite the wide circumference, only measures about 25 miles in total length.

Twenty-eight separate points are noted on the map and illustrated in the surrounding border. Accompanying descriptions provide additional details on points of interest ranging from Magnolia to Wingaersheek Beach.

Condition Description: Creasing and light wear along former fold lines. Several areas of separation totaling about 7" have been repaired on the verso with archival tape. Very good overall.
