The 29th Infantry finishes the job in Europe.

Description
This amusing and uncommon pictorial unit history was published in mid-1945 to continue the visual story of the 29th Infantry Division in the European Theater of Operations. Two route maps had already been printed earlier in the year by the 669th Engineer Topographical Company and this supplemental sheet was published (presumably by the same unit) to pick up where they left off (February).
The narrative resumes with the crossing of the Roer River (lower left), followed by the capture of Mönchengladbach (and Goebbel’s Castle). The Rhine River and Elbe Rivers are the next major obstacles, with a linkup with the Red Army noted near the latter. Major achievements, such as the capture of 10,000 POWs working on V-2 rockets, are represented by cartoonish scenes. Of particular interest are the somewhat racist characterization of the Displaced Persons Camp and the forthright presentation of prostitution. The cartographic chronology concludes with occupational duty as part of Task Force Bremen and troops in a transport carrier adorned ‘U.S.A. or Bust!’
See here for an example of the original 29th Infantry Division two-sheet map.
