Description
This colorful manuscript map appears to be a recreation or update from the United States Geologic Survey topographic map of the Ardmore Quadrangle in the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma. Various geologic deposits are outlined and shaded according to the legend on the left-hand side.
The region is of notable interest to surveyors because of the presence of the Healdton Oil Field, the largest in the state. Magnetic Hill, a local attraction and optical illusion, is also present within the image.
