This assorted collection of maps, charts, diagrams, tables of statistics, and correspondence was published by the Government Printing Office in 1900. It contains a variety of miscellaneous reports provided by the members of the Treasury and War Departments for distribution to members of the House of Representatives, with a primary emphasis on the Chief of Engineers of the U.S. Army.
As a result, the contents are representative of the Army Corps of Engineers’ primary goals of military/civil construction efforts to facilitate navigation, disaster mitigation, and environmental infrastructure. Condition Description: Unpaginated collection (450+ pages) of miscellaneous reports with dozens of folding plates that include maps, charts, diagrams, and more. Bound in original full leather that shows moderate wear. Contents are generally in good to very good condition, with toning and wear along the fore edge, scattered foxing on the fold-outs, and minor discoloration consistent with age and use.
