This fun little map covers the majority of the modern-day states of Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, and Kansas. The routes of a dozen different important trails, explorers’ routes, military expeditions, and early roads are noted according to the legend in the lower left. Old forts and towns are also noted, with underlined toponyms indicating a place of later settlement

. The map was compiled by Grant Foreman and J.P. Clonts and likely published in the late 1930s.
