Description

This awesome collection of maps, charts, diagrams, tables of statistics, and correspondence was published in Washington, D.C. by the Government Printing Office in 1900. It contains a variety of miscellaneous reports, bound in original leather, prepared for distribution to members of the House of Representatives.

Of notable interest are the following: Transactions with Certain National Banks – a collection of correspondence related to possible illicit war profiteering from the Spanish-American War. Examination and Survey of Bucksport Harbor, Maine – War Department report and maps (2) that show depth soundings and areas dredged. Other waterway surveys include Parker’s Head Harbor (ME), Boothbay (ME), Milford Harbor (CT), Woodbridge Creek (NJ), Tarrytown Harbor (NY), Cohasset Harbor (MA), Missouri River (MO), Charlotte Harbor (FL), and Hudson Bay (FL).

Condition Description: Unpaginated (approximately 400 pages) collection of correspondence, maps, charts, and diagrams bound in original full leather with gilt detailed spine. Boards are moderately worn and contents are toned around the outer edges, consistent with age and use. Fold-outs are generally very good, with crisp creasing, light offsetting, and other minor signs of wear. Very good overall.
