This finely engraved navigational chart shows the course of the Pequannock River from Bridgeport, Connecticut to Long Island Sound. Depth soundings are noted in feet throughout; along with navigational beacons, currents, and the composition of the seafloor. Topography is shown in hachure with pictorial elements indicating swampy lowlands.

The map was drawn by T.A.M. Craven and published by the United States Coast Survey in 1835.
