Description
This gorgeous view of the Swiss Alps presents the idyllic resort town of Gstaad, situated in a lush valley, surrounded by towering peaks. Reality isn’t far from the colorful (albeit slightly exaggerated) depiction, which is why the town in southwestern Switzerland remains a popular destination today – known for skiing, picturesque views, and upscale shopping. Regular guests and residents included some of the most ‘stylish’ women of the 20th century – Madonna, Elizabeth Taylor, and Grace Kelly, to name a few. The verso offers a brief summary of the local scene in German, French, and English.
Published in Meiringen (another popular resort town) by Brugger A.G. in the early 1950s.
