This stylized transportation map of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park area was published in Gatlinburg, Tennessee by the Mountain Press in 1969. Printed on news sheet, the scarce map is a great example of localized automobile tourism promotional cartography from the late 1960s.
Primary roads, hiking trails, camping shelters, geographic features, and locations of interest are labeled within the image, explained in further detail by a legend in the lower left. An index to place names and hiking trails can be seen in the lower right.
