This wonderful view of the Great Smoky Mountains presents a sweeping panorama of the popular park situated on the border between Tennessee and North Carolina. Roads, hiking trails, and prominent locations of interest are noted throughout, with the latter identified using a series of small vignettes. The park’s diverse wildlife, stunning vistas, and rich forests are also well-represented within the skillfully drawn image, which extends to include Knoxville and the Cherokee National Forest.
Illustrated by M. Senyk (signed lower left) and published in 1980 by Vacationland Maps of Knoxville, TN (a division of Rabe Corporation). Numerous regional advertisements and a trail map of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are provided on the verso.
