Description
This beautiful view captures the majesty of the Dolomiti Superski, the largest contiguous ski area in the entire world. Numerous resort towns dot the steep valleys, including Falcade, Agordo, and Alleghe. Unlike many ski maps, which show the available runs down the mountain, this image presents the various ways in which skiers can ascend the slopes. An expansive network of chair lifts, gondolas, and tow ropes criss-cross the range.
Illustrated by an artist named Teichmann (signature, lower right) and issued, probably in the 1980s, by the Azienda di Promozione Turistica Dolomiti Agordine.
