Description

Issued by the U.S. 12 Association in Jonesville, Michigan, this strip map shows a section of U.S. Highway 12 as it traverses parts of Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. Although Detroit was the end of the road as the eastern terminus, when traveling west the highway extends fully to Yellowstone National Park.

Small illustrations reflect some of the attractions one might see on their trip along U.S. Highway 12, including ski hills, beaches, oil derricks and covered bridges. Text on the verso provides additional details on the towns noted with red dots, likely to reflect their status as subscribers or participants in the sponsoring organization.
