Description

This promotional brochure was published in Boston by the Rand Avery Supply Company on behalf of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad Company in 1929, near the corporation’s height of operations across the region. Sixteen pages of photographs, timetables, indices, and text panels provide all the information needed to travel with confidence and class amid the popular summer resorts.

A centerfold map shows the railroad lines in operation across the region, while illustrated front covers by John Held, Jr. provide a colorful pop. Text on the back panel reminds the audience that “New England is Vacationland.”
