This wonderful promotional brochure was distributed at the Canadian exhibit during the 1933 World’s Fair in Chicago. The primary map shows the vast country with its railroads highlighted in red, connecting the Atlantic to the Pacific. Oceanic steamship routes are also noted, and an inset map shows the heavy concentration of parks available in the Canadian Rockies – ’50 Switzerlands in one.’
The image was designed to appeal to tourists and business investors alike. Accompanying text in the center left and on the verso provides hard numbers on the fertile investment opportunities available across the country. Abundant natural resources and agriculture are emphasized.
