At the time of issue, the convenient road map may have been used by an audience other than those looking for a tranquil resort vacation. The area around Rouses Point and the Canadian border became a hotbed for international ‘rum-running’ during the Prohibition Era. Customs houses are even pinpointed for easy avoidance!
