Description

Though the splendor and majesty of Rocky Mountain National Park may be lost, this sheet provides an otherwise extremely useful overview of the park from 1937. The primary image is lifted largely from the United States Geological Survey sheet, with updates outlining transportation routes, mountain peaks, and locations of interest.

In addition, two regional transportation maps are provided on the left side, with automobile routes and railways highlighted in addition to a number of other items outlined in the accompanying legend. A few illustrations highlight local wildlife and the idyllic scenery, while detailed information on park trails, wildlife, amenities, and regulations is provided on the verso. The text ends with the helpful summary, ‘BE CAREFULL WITH FIRE THE SPEED LIMIT IS 35 MILES PER HOUR’.
