This handy little pamphlet was published in New York in 1942 by Authentic Publications Company. It was issued to assuage the fears and anxieties of family members whose sons were beginning to be deployed overseas for combat duty. A fascinating variety of information is provided, including information on basic necessities provided by the Armed Forces, proper methods for sending packages, how to write V-Mail, censorship rules, and communication with prisoners of war. Twelve full-page maps are included, providing a geographic reference for those unfamiliar with the far-flung places engaged in the global conflict.
