Description
This front page from the September 3, 1942 issue of the Berliner Börsen-Zeitung uses a group of four maps to present the status of the ongoing global conflict to its German audience.
The upper two maps show the threat of aerial attack across Europe from Germany’s neighbors, contrasted with the huge swathes of territory under control of the Third Reich. The lower maps show a similar tightening grip on the Japanese Empire, with the Allied forces recent victory at Guadalcanal noted.
