Description

This gorgeous bird’s-eye view shows the campus of Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. Dozens of stately buildings are carefully (though anonymously) illustrated amid lush foliage, ample parking, and the surrounding town. Fertile rolling fields and Pullman–Moscow Regional Airport can be seen occupying much of the background space. Route 270 runs horizontally through the foreground, with Stadium Way branching off towards what appears to be Rogers Field.

Martin Stadium opened in 1972, helping to narrow the date of publication from between 1969 (renaming of Washington State College) and 1972 (stadium completion). Produced by Brown and Bigelow, a division of Standard Packaging Corporation. Created around 1970 for the Students Books Corporation, a non-profit, student-owned organization that dates to 1914 and operates bookstores across campus.
