The world of Warhammer began as a tabletop board game created by Bryan Ansell, Richard Halliwell, and Rick Priestley that was first published by Games Workshop in 1983. The high-fantasy setting centered around miniature figurines would become immensely popular and grow into a media empire spanning video games, novels, and more.
This ‘celestial’ map comes from the science fiction companion; titled Warhammer: 40,000, the slogan for which is “In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.” It was issued by Games Workshop, Ltd. in 2019 to accompany the ‘Vigilus Ablaze’ campaign, which pits the Forces of Chaos against the Imperium of Man
