Description

This fascinating collection of six World War II maps was compiled by the Geographical Section, General Staff of the British War Office and published in London (3rd edition) in 1942. Each image provides a detailed overview of the transportation network, physical landscape, and political boundaries of Northern Ireland, including its capital of Belfast.

Condition Description: Group of six single sided maps, lithographed on treated paper and formerly folded into 14 segments. Each sheet, blank on verso, has a paper tab on the right side and has been trimmed around the edges. Toned paper shows light wear, consistent with age and use. Faint scattered soiling (see scans). Manuscript annotations in red oil pencil. Good to very good condition overall.
