Description

This lovely double panel view was engraved by T. White and published around 1770 in an edition of Chamberlain’s History of London. The upper view shows Christopher Wren’s masterpiece of classical Baroque architecture, St. Paul’s Cathedral.

The distinctive dome continues to dominate the skyline in the old city today. Immediately below is a profile engraving of St. Paul’s School.
