Description

This sharp aerial view of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill shows the public university (the first in the nation) oriented with east at the top of the page. It functions effectively as a guide to the campus, with accurate representations of dozens of buildings across the grounds, labeled at the bottom. Married Students Housing and the Community Church are noted adjacent.

Published by the university around 1963, based on the ongoing construction at Coker and Mitchell Halls (completed in 1963 and 1964, respectively). Descriptive text on the verso confirms the date and offers a brief overview of the institution and its history.
