Description

This useful guide to the University of Florida was issued as a ‘Familiarization Aid for New Students’ and identifies over forty different important buildings and facilities across campus. They are organized into student services, academic offices, stores, and food service options and labeled at the bottom of the page. The verso presents two advertisements for the Campus Shop Bookstore – ‘tailored to fit your needs.’

The image was designed by the University of Florida Office of Campus Engineer in September, 1966. The Gators’ football season kicked off that same month, and Heisman Trophy winner Steve Spurrier ultimately led the team to a victory over Georgia Tech in the Orange Bowl.
