An outdated map of North America from 1815.

This map with an usual title captures a fascinating period in the development of the United States. Though it was published shortly after the conclusion of the War of 1812, it shows political borders from over a decade prior.

The Northwest Territory is fully formed, containing only a few scattered frontier settlements and forts. Georgia’s claims extend to the Mississippi River, while the territories of West and East Florida were under Spanish authority. A plethora of Native American tribes are labeled across much of the image.

Though the text at the bottom has been partially trimmed, I believe it says Published…1815 by Caddell & Davis.
