Description
This interesting cartographic artifact was popular in the ’20s and ’30s as an alternative method for teaching geographic facts about the United States. The wheel was spun to select a state on the outer edge (48 plus D.C.), and cutouts would display information related to that state such as population, highest point, principal river, and the capital.
