Description
This interesting view offers a stylized oblique perspective of East Asia, including Japan, the Korean Peninsula, the Yellow Sea, and parts of China and Russia. Regional topography is exaggerated in a pictorial style and primary towns, railroads, and geographic features are labeled throughout the image.
Copyrighted and published by H.C. Tunison in 1904 – the same year that Japan shocked the Western world by defeating the Russian Empire in the Russo-Japanese War.
