Description
This colorful map of Tokyo shows the lines in operation of the Teito Rapid Transit Authority as of May 1980. Established in 1941, the company was (and remains) one of two full-time operators providing rapid transit services throughout the greater Tokyo area, the other being the Toei Subway.
The lines of the TRTA are brightly colored and station names are shaded according to their status as transfer locations. The routes of the Japanese National Railways are shown in a thinner hashed pattern, while the Teito Subway is relegated to a simple thin black line.
