This magnificent presentation of lunar geography was published in 1963 by the Space and Information Systems Division of North American Aviation, Inc. Stunning photographs of the moon’s surface, the best publicly available at that point, are provided courtesy of the University of California’s Lick Observatory. Hundreds (309, to be exact) of geographic features are labeled according to agreed scientific conventions, explained further via descriptive text on the verso.
