Description

This color-coded world map shows the general persuasion of each nation’s involvement in the early years of the Second World War (July, 1941). An azimuthal equidistant projection, defined in the upper left, presents the globe with a distorted perspective designed to highlight distances by air and sea. U.S. Lend-Lease routes, military missions, and financial aid are also noted according to the legend it the lower right.
