Description
This charming little guide map to California’s famous Monterrey Peninsula and its Seventeen Mile Drive was published in Pebble Beach by Runyan & Whitman in the mid-1960’s (dated using the absence of the Spyglass Hill Course, which opened in 1966).
The drive is highlighted in yellow atop an otherwise simple map of the peninsula, which is livened up with several attractive illustrations of local recreational activities (golf and fishing) and wildlife. The verso features additional information for each numbered point of interest.
At least two subsequent issues were published, and possibly more. Source: Rumsey 8916.001.
