Description

This full-color illustration outlines the numerous components of an oil drilling rig in use in the Texas oil fields (and elsewhere) during the late 1970s. Fifty-five separate constituent pieces are numbered and labeled in the list along the bottom of the sheet.

Published in Austin in 1979 by the University of Texas. The Petroleum Extension Service has issued a number of these eye-catching charts as part of their educational subject matter on the oil industry and an updated version is available for sale on their website today.
