The Road to the Lennox Store [New Jersey]

All Roads Lead to the Lennox Store!

This one-of-a-kind (probably) printer’s block was created to replicate an advertising map for The Lennox Store outside of Lambertsville, New Jersey. A basic outline of the road network between Trenton and Morristown pinpoints the location of the rustic furniture store, represented pictorially. A border of text showcases available products like country home pine furniture, antiques, and decorative accessories.

Richard Lennox inherited the family business from his father after graduating from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in 1966. In the 1990s, Richard sold the shop to pursue art full-time. His work has been featured at the Delaware Art Museum, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Philadelphia Art Alliance, the Woodmere Art Museum, the Hunterdon Museum, and the Allentown Art Museum.
