Description
This interesting map of downtown Salt Lake City was published by the Wilson Hotel around 1920, dated using the presence of the new state capitol building (notably without a photograph). Forty locations are identified within the basic street grid, which also notes parks, transportation routes (including steam and electric railroads), and nearby landmarks.
Surrounding the map are several photographs capturing local attractions and scenic views. Such diverse opportunities for recreation prompt the reader to ‘save five days for Salt Lake City’ in their itinerary.
The verso features additional advertisements for the Wilson Hotel and extensive information regarding the Mormons, detailing their travels, the history of the church, the construction of the temple, and the Articles of Faith.
