Description
J.R.R. Tolkien’s incredibly rich fantasy world of Middle-earth has developed from a beloved book series into a vast media empire, encompassing television, movies, video games, and more. This colorful double-sided map of the Northern Wastes (situated at the ‘top’ of the map of Middle-earth) was published by Tolkien Enterprises in 1997 to accompany the Middle-earth Collectible Card Game (MECCG).
Original artwork from throughout the Tolkien media universe was used to create the cards. The map is one example, first illustrated by Karin and Christian Bohr for use with a custom expansion campaign in the Middle-earth Roleplaying Game (MERPG), also released in 1997.
