Description
This brightly colored map of the world highlights the vast territorial disparity between the Axis and Allied powers. The latter is bright red (Russia is a darker, muted hue) while Axis-controlled land is shown in black, grey, and yellow. Finland, then fighting a war against the Soviet Union, is also shown as an ‘enemy.’ Neutral countries are green and include Vichy France and French West Africa – both nominally under Germany’s control.
Cartography designed by Robert Winslow under supervision by R.J. Walrath. Published in 1942 by Ideal Distributing Company of New York.
