This tremendously detailed map of the area immediately around Paris was published in New York by J.H. Colton in 1855. A decorative border surrounds a skillfully engraved image that shows geographic features, urban areas, individual buildings, and transportation routes; many of which are labeled. The city walls, bridges, and major landmarks within Paris and at Versailles are also identified.
