The Best Little Whorehouses in Nevada

This promotional poster was published anonymously in 1984 and shows the locations of thirty-six legal brothels in operation across Nevada. The map had to have been issued in a county where the practice was allowed, as advertising in counties where prostitution was outlawed had been illegal since 1979 – possibly issued by the Shamrock, illustrated in the lower right.

The map shows no scale and presents major transportation routes in a strictly stylized manner. Brothels with private airstrips are noted and a handful of scattered illustrations can be seen across the page.
