Description

This ephemeral magazine map notes the route of the Beatles’ 1964 North American Tour, considered by some to be the first major rock n’ roll concert tour in the United States. Over 30 shows (all quickly sold out) in 24 different cities across 30 days, the whirlwind tour captured the essence of Beatlemania. The band didn’t even stay overnight in Chicago! A less-than-warm welcome from Mayor Richard J. Daley led to a quick departure from Midway Airport (hastily rescheduled from O’Hare) after the show at the International Amphitheater.
