This somewhat amusing map of the United States takes symbols from the standard American weather map and updates them for use in outlining the nation’s regional ‘climates’ on the possession of marijuana. Thunderstorms, roadblocks, and speedometers are to be avoided for those looking to travel.
‘Mild Climates’ (those favorable for smokers) are shown in California, Colorado, Maine, Minnesota, and Idaho. Alaska and Hawaii are also ‘sunny’ destinations, but danger is noted at the borders! The upcoming Bicentennial is specifically noted is the accompanying text – many Americans hit the roads for the nationwide celebration. Published in the August 14, 1975 issue of the Rolling Stones.
