Starflight Starmap

Map for one of the first open-world sandbox video games.

This galactic map was published by Electronic Arts in 1986 to accompany their ground-breaking space-themed computer game, Starflight. The game involved the player having (almost) free rein to mine resources, conduct diplomatic missions, and engage in combat across a vast open world (one of the first such instances of a sandbox setting in a video game). Starflight sold over a million copies and received a warm reception among critics and fans alike.
