Description

This interesting city plan of Springfield, Illinois was designed by Jack Amman of Photogrammetric Engineers, Inc. in 1958. It was designed for use by the Sangamon County Regional Planning Commission. Several manuscript updates outline different parcels on the outskirts – most likely areas intended for annexation. Locations of interest include the Illinois State Fair Grounds, Capitol Airport, Southwest Airport, the Illinois National Guard Depot, and Lincoln Greens Golf Course.
