Southwestern National Monuments

This is a practical map of the national parks and monuments that can be found in Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico. The simple map itself shows basic information like highway routes, park locations, and post offices. Twenty-seven illustrations of various attractions from parks shown on the map comprise the border, including Arches, Saguaro, and Rainbow Bridge. On the verso are several large scale travel routes through the region, as well as supplemental information regarding each park or monument. Just a year after publication, many of these parks would be converted to military encampments, training facilities, and supply depots after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
